Giovanni L Gonzalez

Gio was born in Miami, And graduated from Coral Gables Senior High School in 2004 and later attended Western Nebraska CommunityCollege.  He returned to Miami and joined the Miami Dade Police Department in November 2006. Upon graduating from the police academy Gio was assigned to the Kendall district, where he served in uniform patrol and in the Priority Service Unit.  During his lamentably short law enforcement career Gio received eight commendations for good police work, professionalism, and for assistance during a community Friendship Circle Walk. 

Gio was also a good son, brother and friend he loved playing jokes, and riding his jet ski, going to the beach and spending time with friends and family. God you have taken someone that will always be missed and loved you took him to soon. Please lord take care of him till we meet again.

Gio is survived by his parents, Elaine and Leo Gonzalez, brother Giosley, and other loving friends and relatives and his extended police family.
